Ken Park

This disturbing and highly controversial film from director Larry Clark (Kids) focuses on four adolescents whose lives are beyond dysfunctional, beginning with Tate, a sociopath and sexual asphyxiation freak who lives with his adoptive grandparents. Shawn is having sex with his girlfriend's mother; Claude is a skateboarder whose macho father physically abuses him; and Peaches is a nymphomaniac who rebels against her father's strict rules.

The Last Supper

A religious landowner (Nelson Villagra) invites 12 of the slaves who work on his sugar plantation to join him for a reenactment of the Last Supper. But while he uses allegories to extol the virtue of hard work, his dinner guests request better working conditions. When the slaves revolt on Good Friday, the landowner must decide whether to honor the promises he made them or clamp down on the rebels and uphold the plantation system.

Red Room

A cult hit amongst gore enthusiasts, this campy splatter flick takes its plot cues from reality TV game shows. Four young people are locked in a room and play cards. When someone loses, they must endure some of the most gruesome torture imaginable. Luckily, the winner walks away, or limps rather, with $100,000. The success of this bare bones horror gem, directed by Japan's V-cinema staple Daisuke Yamanouchi, spawned a sequel even more disgusting.

Riki-Oh: The Story of Ricky

When his drug-addicted girlfriend commits suicide, Riki-Oh offs her dealer and finds himself locked up in a prison where the accused have no rights and very little hope. The other inmates torture Riki-Oh with a stunning variety of implements (which include pretty much anything at hand), but he fights back as if his life depended on it -- which it does!

Storytelling

Writer-director Todd Solondz (Welcome to the Dollhouse) presents two stories -- "Fiction" and "Non-Fiction" -- focusing on the racial and sexual tension bubbling in a college writing class and the hidden fractures in a suburban household. Raw, chilling and wrenching in its exploration of how we turn fact into fiction and lies into truth, Storytelling serves as a modern fable for people who don't need happy endings.

Ebola Syndrome

Restaurant worker Sam (Anthony Wong Chau-Sang) is in big trouble when his employer finds his own wife in bed with Sam. The only way out at the time seems to be murder, but Sam's poor choice drives him to hide out in Africa. Once awakened, his bloodthirsty side no longer has a reason to stay beneath the surface; Sam is now intent on killing for killing's sake, serving up his victims to those who frequent his eatery and encouraging the spread of Ebola.

The Hitcher

Never pick up strangers; that's a lesson Jim Halsey (C. Thomas Howell) will wish he'd learned. While driving from Chicago to San Diego, he picks up hitchhiker John Ryder (Rutger Hauer) but regrets it when he begins to suspect Ryder may be a serial killer. Before Halsey can say, "Get out of my car," Ryder kills again -- and frames him for the murders.

The Hole

King of the Ants

Freaks

Director Tod Browning cast authentic circus folk, not actors, in this Greek tragedy about sideshow "freaks." Normal-sized trapeze artist Cleopatra (Olga Baclanova) marries diminutive Hans (Harry Earles) with plans to poison him, take his inheritance and marry the brute Hercules (Henry Victor). When the freaks uncover Cleopatra's scheme and Hercules forces himself on an innocent girl, they gang up on the two miscreants. Wallace Ford also stars.

The Abominable Dr. Phibes / Dr. Phibes Rises Again

This twin bill of horror classics stars the always creepy Vincent Price as the titular doctor -- a scientist and disfigured madman. In The Abominable Dr. Phibes, the maniacal sawbones uses the biblical plagues visited upon Egypt as a model for revenge against the surgeons he blames for his wife's demise. In the equally tongue-in-cheek sequel, Phibes seeks to resurrect his beloved spouse and concocts insidious deaths for those who get in his way.

From Beyond

After inventing a way for creatures from the fourth dimension to come into his own world, Dr. Edward Pretorious (Ted Sorel) suffers a gruesome decapitation at the hands of those he brought "from beyond." But authorities suspect his assistant (Jeffrey Combs) is to blame. Even worse, the crimes were committed by his own father (Jim Van Bebber). Kristy Bowersock co-stars as a fetish demon girlfriend in this trippy experimental cult horror film.

A father and would-be ventriloquist ("Lost" star Terry O'Quinn) communicates with his kids, Leon (David Hewlett) and Ursula (Cynthia Preston), via a full-size medical dummy. But when dad dies, Leon retains a creepy connection to the mannequin. He also becomes psychotically protective of his now-grown beautiful sister, and mayhem ensues. The eerily charming psychological thriller is based on a novel by Andrew Neiderman.

Teeth

When virtuous high school student Dawn (Jess Weixler) becomes the victim of a sexual assault, she discovers that she has an unexpected line of defense: a toothed vagina. But for Dawn, coming to terms with the power and dangers of her anatomical anomaly may be easier said than done.
