The Mummy

You'll want your mummy when you spin this action-packed thriller from Universal Studios (the dream factory that produced the 1932 original). With strong performances by Brendan Fraser and Rachel Weisz, and a treasure trove of extras -- including a primer on Egyptian mythology -- The Mummy is a scream.

Rushmore

Wunderkind Max Fischer (Jason Schwartzman), a sophomore at upscale Rushmore Academy and the president of myriad school clubs, sees his world turn topsy-turvy when he's smitten with widowed first-grade teacher Rosemary Cross (Olivia Williams). To win her heart, Max enlists the aid of self-made steel magnate and school benefactor Herman J. Blume (Bill Murray), only to end up vying with the millionaire industrialist for Rosemary's affections.

The Devil's Advocate

When charismatic lawyer John Milton (Al Pacino) recruits the successful young attorney Kevin Lomax (Keanu Reeves) to his high-powered Manhattan firm, both Kevin and his wife (Charlize Theron) find life on Park Avenue seductive. O Brother, Where Art Thou?

On the heels of recent lawsuits against McDonald's, director Morgan Spurlock takes a hilarious and often terrifying look at the effects of fast food on the human body, using himself as the proverbial guinea pig. For one month, Spurlock eats nothing but McDonald's, ordering everything on the menu and "super-sizing" his order whenever asked. The result is a sobering examination of the line between personal and corporate responsibility.

The Constant Gardener

The Boondock Saints

Sensing a God-given mission to cleanse the earth of all evil, twin brothers Conner (Sean Patrick Flanery) and Murphy (Norman Reedus) set out to rid Boston of crime. But instead of joining the police force, these Irish Americans decide to kick criminal butt their own way. Willem Dafoe co-stars in writer-director Troy Duffy's crime thriller as the openly gay FBI special agent who's assigned to investigate the siblings' activities.

The Illusionist

With his eye on a lovely aristocrat (Jessica Biel), a gifted illusionist named Eisenheim (Edward Norton) uses his powers to win her away from her betrothed, a crowned prince (Rufus Sewell). But Eisenheim's scheme creates tumult within the monarchy and ignites the suspicion of a dogged inspector (Paul Giamatti). Set in early 1900s Vienna, this lush period drama from writer-director Neil Burger earned an Oscar nod for Best Cinematography.

Ghost Rider

Chocolat

Blown in by the north wind, an iconoclastic single mother (Oscar nominee Juliette Binoche) and her young daughter move into a peaceful French village and open an uncommon chocolate shop during the height of Lent -- directly across the street from a church. At first, the shop's rich, sensuous desserts scandalize the town. But the villagers (including Judi Dench, Lena Olin and Johnny Depp) soon learn to savor the sweetness.

Superbad

40-Year-Old Virgin collaborators Judd Apatow and Seth Rogen re-team for this partially autobiographical high school comedy starring Jonah Hill and Michael Cera as best buddies facing separation anxiety as they prepare to go off to college. While attempting to score alcohol for a party with help from their fake ID-toting friend, "McLovin" (Christopher Mintz-Plasse), the guys' evening takes a turn into chaotic territory.

No Country for Old Men

A hunter (Josh Brolin) who stumbles upon a dead body, $2 million and a stash of heroin in a Texas desert absconds with the cash. But brutal thief Anton Chigurh (Javier Bardem) comes looking for it, with a local sheriff (Tommy Lee Jones) hot on his trail. National Lampoon's Vacation

In this gagfest from director Harold Ramis, the Griswolds -- father Clark (Chevy Chase), mother Ellen (Beverly D'Angelo) and kids (Anthony Michael Hall and Dana Barron) -- are hell-bent on getting to their favorite theme park, Walley World. Naturally, Murphy's Law kicks in the minute they embark on their ill-fated cross-country odyssey, leading to run-ins with a motley cast of kooks, including Randy Quaid and Imogene Coca.

Blade

"Good" vampire Blade (Wesley Snipes), along with his mentor and weaponsmith, Whistler (Kris Kristofferson), battle Deacon Frost (Stephen Dorff), an evil vampire rebel who plans to take over the outdated vampire council, capture Blade and resurrect voracious blood god La Magra. Stephen Norrington directs this dark action thriller based on the comic book series. N'Bushe Wright co-stars as bitten hematologist Dr. Karen Jenson.

Spaceballs

Comic genius Mel Brooks strikes back in this spoof of the Star Wars trilogy. High Fidelity

When record store owner Rob Gordon (John Cusack) gets dumped by his girlfriend, Laura (Iben Hjejle), because he hasn't changed since they met, he revisits his top five breakups of all time in an attempt to figure out what went wrong. As Rob seeks out his former lovers to find out why they left, he keeps up his efforts to win Laura back. Jack Black and Joan Cusack co-star in this clever tribute to the music scene based on Nick Hornby's novel.

Die Hard

In the meantime, a spunky animal lover (Ally Sheedy) mistakes the robot for an alien and takes him in, teaching her new guest about life on Earth. This high-tech comedy adventure hit spawned a 1988 sequel.

Blow

Johnny Depp turns in a quietly powerful performance at the heart of this Ted Demme-directed drama as real-life coke smuggler George Jung, who rises from poverty to become one of the biggest drug dealers in America before his eventual downfall. Braveheart

Enraged at the slaughter of Murron (Catherine McCormack) -- his new bride and childhood love -- legendary Scottish warrior William Wallace (Mel Gibson, who also directed the film) slays a platoon of the local English lord's soldiers. This leads the village to revolt and, eventually, the entire country to rise up against English rule. With vivid battle scenes and a heaping portion of legend, Gibson's epic won five Oscars, including Best Picture.
