Shadow of the Vampire

A wicked movie about the making of the 1922 silent-film classic Nosferatu, Shadow of the Vampire features Willem Dafoe's Oscar-nominated performance. Director F.W. Unknown actor Max Schreck (Dafoe), cast as the vampire Count Orlock, makes an impressive debut as filming begins, even as he hides an unearthly secret.

Salem's Lot

In this horror film based on Stephen King's novel, best-selling author Ben Mears (Rob Lowe) returns to his Maine hometown and finds it overrun by vampires. The prime suspect, at first, seems to be a creepy antiques dealer named Straker (Donald Sutherland), but further investigation reveals that he's just the assistant to the "Big Bad" -- a bloodsucker named Kurt Barlow (Rutger Hauer), who plans to drain the blood and souls of the entire town.

Salem's Lot

Author Ben Mears (David Soul) returns to his New England hometown of Jerusalem's Lot to write his new book and becomes disturbed by the behavior of the townspeople, particularly new resident and antiques dealer Mr. Straker (James Mason). When Straker's silent partner, the vampire Mr. Barlow, arrives in Salem's Lot, he soon begins to convert the townsfolk into an army of the undead. Tobe Hooper directed this story based on Stephen King's novel.

Tales from the Crypt: Bordello of Blood

Rafe Guttman (Dennis Miller) is the witty detective sent to check out the bizarre activities at the local bordello in this comic slasher flick. The sexy vampire Madame Lilith (Angie Everhart) runs the house of ill repute, where the working girls are out for blood. The unsuspecting private eye soon finds himself pitted against a sleazy televangelist (Chris Sarandon) with an evil talisman. Guttman's weapon? A squirt gun full of holy water!

Fright Night

Nobody believes horror-movie addict Charley Brewster (William Ragsdale) when he discovers that his suave new neighbor, Jerry Dandridge (Chris Sarandon), is a vampire. Kith and kin believe Charley is certifiable, and his single mother develops a romantic interest in Dandridge. Rise: Blood Hunter

Dracula

Bela Lugosi turns in a landmark horror performance in this 1931 adaptation of Bram Stoker's classic vampire novel. Revisit Transylvania for the eerie mood created by spectacular cinematography and Lugosi's oft-copied take on the infamous Dracula. Dwight Frye as Renfield also helps define the grotesque and sniveling sidekick role.

Underworld

Vampires and werewolves have waged a nocturnal war against each other for centuries. As evil vampires prepare to become invincible with the aid of an experimental vaccine, Blade turns to Krista Starr (Jill Wagner) -- a beautiful girl grieving the loss of her brother -- to go undercover in the nocturnal underworld.

Perfect Creature

A rebellious vampire named Edgar (Leo Gregory) begins feasting on flu victims in this sci-fi horror film set in an alternate world where vampires live peacefully among people. Sent by the Church to capture Edgar, Silus (Dougray Scott) uncovers the creature's chilling secrets. Saffron Burrows stars as the police chief who helps Silus hunt down the bloodsucker in Nuovo Zelandia, an alternate dimension of 1960s New Zealand.

Dracula

30 Days of Night

When a monthlong period of darkness sets in on the tiny Alaskan town of Barrow, the locals are visited by a flock of bloodthirsty vampires who are eager to take advantage of the no-sun zone, prompting the town sheriff (Josh Hartnett) to act fast to save the day. Melissa George, Ben Foster and Danny Huston co-star in this horror offering from producer Sam Raimi based on the popular comic book miniseries by Steve Niles.

Tales from the Crypt: Deadly Duo

There's nothing scarier than a double dose of fright from the creators of the "Tales from the Crypt" series. In "Bordello of Blood," the crypt-keeper (voiced by John Kassir) recounts the tale of a cathouse run not by frisky felines but by bloodsuckers. "Demon Knight" follows the efforts of a man, Brayker (William Sadler), trying to escape the clutches of a mysterious being called The Collector (Billy Zane). Jada Pinkett Smith co-stars.
