001- Brokeback Mountain

Liam Neeson provides a fascinating portrait of theorist and zoologist Dr. Alfred Kinsey, whose name has been associated with human sexuality ever since he interviewed thousands of people about their sex lives and released his findings in a groundbreaking 1948 book, Sexual Behavior in the Human Male. The book caused ripples in the scientific community and paved the way for further inquiry into the subject. Laura Linney and Peter Sarsgaard co-star.

005- The Hours

This gripping drama follows the parallel lives of three 20th-century women: the incomparable Virginia Woolf (Nicole Kidman), an unsatisfied 1950s housewife (Julianne Moore), and a modern-day book editor (Meryl Streep) who's losing her former lover to AIDS. 010- Iris

In this snippet of her life, an aging Murdoch (Dench) faces the onset of Alzheimer's disease and the loss of memories about her younger self (Winslet). Jim Broadbent won the Oscar for his portrayal of her husband.

011- Gray Matters

After a botched sex-change operation, East German glam rocker Hansel (John Cameron Mitchell) becomes Hedwig and travels across the United States with a stage show, following her ex-boyfriend (and former band mate) and telling her life story. Hedwig's offbeat show slays audiences -- but in diners not clubs. Mitchell also wrote and directed the comedy, which won at the Sundance Film Festival and was nominated for several Independent Spirit Awards.

014- Saving Face

Dutiful daughter Wil (Michelle Krusiec) sidesteps her mother's (Joan Chen) attempts to marry her off in Alice Wu's romantic comedy. At 28, Wil's the old maid of her traditional Chinese family, so there's no way she can tell them about her budding lesbian romance with Vivian (Lynn Chen). But her widowed mom has her own problems, as she learns she's pregnant at 48. Kicked out by her disapproving father, she seeks refuge at Wil's place.

015- Before Night Falls

Spanning several decades, this powerful biopic offers a glimpse into the life of famed Cuban poet and novelist Reinaldo Arenas (Javier Bardem), an artist who was vilified for his homosexuality in Fidel Castro's Cuba. Although Arenas finds success as a writer, he must eventually emigrate to New York City to enjoy unfettered creative freedom. Johnny Depp co-stars in two different roles as a transvestite inmate and as a warden.

016- Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil

In this adaptation of Fanny Flagg's novel, flashbacks reveal the remarkable and mysterious story of soul mates Idgie (Mary Stuart Masterson) and Ruth Jamison (Mary-Louise Parker), whose antics cause an uproar in their rural Southern town during the 1920s. Feisty Ninny Threadgoode (Jessica Tandy) tells the tale to a repressed Alabama housewife (Kathy Bates), who becomes obsessed with Idgie and Ruth, and ultimately finds inspiration in their story.

020- But I'm a Cheerleader

In this hilarious satire, Megan Bloomfield (Natasha Lyonne) lives a "normal" teen life as a cheerleader dating the captain of the football team. But her parents and friends suspect Megan is gay because of "clues," such as her distaste for kissing her boyfriend. Shipped off to True Directions -- a camp designed to shove her back in the closet -- Bloomfield meets tomboy Graham Eaton (Clea DuVall), who helps her recognize her sexual orientation.

021- The Opposite of Sex

023- Latter Days

This controversial film explores the consequences of a young Mormon missionary, Aaron (Steve Sandvoss), recognizing his homosexuality and falling in love with another man. Aaron's first sexual encounter with a gay "party boy" (Wesley A. Ramsey) leads to a passionate romance that gets Aaron excommunicated from his church and risks destroying both their lives. Charming and sexy, Latter Days offers a heady mix of romantic comedy and powerful drama.

024- The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert

Invited to perform at a casino in remote Alice Springs, Australia, drag queens Mitzi (Hugo Weaving) and Felicia (Guy Pearce) and transsexual Bernadette (Terence Stamp) hit the road in a broken-down lavender bus named Priscilla in this campy comedy classic.
